This academic program lays the foundation for students to transfer to a 4-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. This program offers courses in Corrections, Juvenile Services, Addiction Studies and Law. The courses provide a solid preparation for advanced study of Criminal Justice and are transferable to many colleges and universities in Michigan. By declaring this Pre-Major program, students are on track to graduate with both an Associate of Arts degree from GRCC and a bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution.

Students transferring to FSU in the Criminal Justice (Generalist Option) should select SO 260. Those seeking the Criminal Justice (Corrections Option) should select CJ 115, CJ 216, CJ 221, CJ 237, and CJ 105 for their Program Elective Courses.

Students transferring to GVSU should select CJ 234 and CJ 145 for their Program Elective Courses.

Students transferring to WMU should select SO 260 for their Program Elective Courses.
