General Education Courses

The GRCC General Education Program is comprised of English Composition and three distribution groups: Humanities (Group I); Social Sciences (Group II); Natural Sciences and Mathematics (Group III). Survey of American Government (PS110), is a mandatory Social Sciences requirement for all GRCC curricula. In addition to these categories, students must take one Wellness course. The courses that fall within the distribution groups are listed below:

Only one Foreign Language course may be used as a Humanities general education elective.
History
For students who are in the 2016-2017 catalog year, a History course can now meet either a Humanities or Social Sciences requirement. Please note each History course can only count as either a Humanities or Social Science, not both.
Political Science
All students must take PS 110 to graduate.
