Corequisites: None Description: CHM 100 is a non-laboratory course designed to provide a general introduction to the chemical sciences. Topics include the scientific method, the periodic table, modern atomic theory, chemical bonding, and measurements and mathematical relationships in chemistry. Basic chemical concepts are applied to topics important to various professions and everyday life. Students taking this course are expected to read the textbook and perform simple mathematical operations. Credit will be awarded for either CHM 100 or CHM 110 , but not for both.
