Intercultural Communication examines the impact of effective communication among diverse cultures. Among the topics covered will be the process of creating cultural identity and perspectives, ethnocentrism, the impact of values and beliefs, and verbal and nonverbal communication. The course will also look specifically at the impact of cultural diversity in workplace settings such as business, education, and health care, among others. Recommended Skills: Students should possess the reading and writing ability to handle and understand college-level material, content, and assignments.
