Prerequisites: Chemistry: CHM 100 ,Mathematics: MA 107 or any higher MA course – This course provides an overview of the fundamental laws and concepts in chemistry. Topics covered include atomic and molecular structure, nuclear chemistry, phases of matter, solutions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, acid-base reactions, oxidation-reduction reactions, and kinetics. This course is designed for baccalaureate medical curriculum students as well as students intending to obtain a degree in polymer technology. Recommended Skills: While it is not an enforced prerequisite, earning a C or better in high school chemistry or in CHM 100 or CHM 110 at GRCC is recommended preparation for this course. CM 109
