College Level Prerequisites: None Description: This course emphasizes the contextualization and applications of mathematics specific to fields of study in manufacturing and trades. This is accomplished through use of examples and exercises explaining the use of math in disciplines such as construction, plumbing, auto mechanics, electronics, CAD/drafting, tool and die and more. Areas of study incorporate fractions, Scientific notation, percentages, ratios, proportions, direct and inverse variation, formulas and their transpositions, linear systems and equations, and quadratic equations.
