College Level Prerequisites: None Description: This class provides an introduction to types, purposes and stages of interviewing. Students are introduced to basic empathy training. Skill development for observation, listening, non-verbal communication, rapport-building, information giving and information gathering are fundamental components of the class. Students are introduced to beginning assessment, monitoring and working with culturally diverse, oppressed, or psychologically maladaptive clients.
