Description: This course examines the integrated western humanities beginning with the Renaissance through the Postmodern era while exploring the interrelationships of literature, philosophy, religion, the visual arts, and the performing arts. Concerned not only with becoming familiar with works from prescribed time periods, learners will also develop ways to critically appreciate and situate such human thoughts and expressions within the context of their counterparts as discovered in contemporary society. It is recommended that students complete EN 100/101 with a C or Higher prior to enrolling in this course. HU 204 and HU 205 need not be taken sequentially.
