College Level Prerequisites: None Description: This course exists to provide knowledge of the major patterns of world history in the first half of the 20th century. In many ways, the world we live in emerged during these decades, an era of mass politics, public health reforms, technological revolution, mass entertainment, and total war. Through multicultural perspectives and interviews with ordinary citizens, students learn how the major developments of the century have affected, and been affected by, the lives of the individuals, families, and communities.
