College Level Prerequisites: None Description: CHM 210 is designed to introduce students to selected topics in general, organic, and biological chemistry. This course serves students who are applying to the Dental Hygiene Program and some transfer Allied Health students. Emphasis is on measurement, bonding, acids and bases, and the classes, physical properties and reactivity of organic molecules. These concepts are applied to the study of biomolecules and biological pathways. It is strongly recommended that students who have not recently and successfully completed a high school chemistry course take CHM 100 or CHM 110 prior to enrolling in this course.
