College Level Prerequisites: GRCC College Level Math (Math ACT 18 or higher OR successful completion of MA098 or higher OR Algebra Accuplacer 76 or higher) Description: CHM 100 is a non-laboratory course designed to provide a general introduction to the chemical sciences. Topics include the scientific method, the periodic table, modern atomic theory, chemical bonding, and measurements and mathematical relationships in chemistry. Basic chemical concepts are applied to topics important to various professions and everyday life. Students taking this course are expected to read the textbook and perform simple mathematical operations.
