MA 129 - Survey of Calculus Credits: 5 Contact Hours: 5 Prerequisites: None

College Level Prerequisites: None Description: MA 129 is a one-semester survey of Calculus intended for students majoring in business, economics, life sciences and social sciences. Topics include limits of functions, differentiation of polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions; applications of differentiation including curve sketching, optimization, related rates, growth and decay; some techniques of integration and applications of integration including area and differential equations. A graphing calculator is required for this course. Please check the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) list to see if this course fulfills the Mathematics and Natural Science requirement). Strongly recommended: Grade of C or better in MA 127 or MA 110 or their equivalent, or at least four years of college preparatory mathematics.
