PC 111 - Physics of Everyday Life(4/6) The study of physics as it relates to everyday life. This course is designed as a laboratory science course for non-science majors. Topics will include motion, forces, water, heat, sound, electricity, magnetism and light. The course is especially suitable for students pursuing careers in elementary education or criminal justice, and anyone interested in a brisk physics survey. Basic high school algebra skills, similar to MA 098, are strongly recommended for those enrolling in this course.
Recommended Skills: Elementary algebra skills will be used in this course. Calculations will mainly involve multiplication and division, but students will develop their proportional thinking skills as the course progresses.
