Prerequisites: Prerequisite: Accuplacer math-arithmetic score above 39 and Accuplacer reading score 31 or higher or

with C- or higher grade. MA 097 is a one semester review of arithmetic fundamentals and pre-algebra concepts. Topics include the arithmetic of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, order of operations, ratios, proportions, percent, signed numbers, applications of introductory geometry, measurement, statistics, an introduction to polynomial expressions, solving linear equations, linear relationships and square roots. Work is done both with and without a calculator.
