HVA 280 - HVAC Internship Description This course is designed as an elective for students enrolled in the HVAC/R program. Students participate in a paid or unpaid work experience involving an area employer to practice job skills and increase employability. They work a minimum of 15 hours per week under supervision at an approved place of employment. The instructor monitors the student’s overall performance. There is a mandatory orientation meeting at the beginning of the semester. Students are responsible for identifying their own internship site. A list of potential internships sites is available in the Applied Technology department.
