Description: Students will examine the essential principles and behaviors required to maintain professionalism as an educator. Key topics include ethical conduct, effective communication with students and colleagues, advocacy, and upholding high standards of instruction in the classroom. Students will create a reflective professional portfolio that showcases their early childhood teaching skills and educational development. Additionally, the course will explore the educator’s code of conduct, emphasizing issues such as confidentiality, appropriate family-educator partnerships, and the importance of self-reflection.
