Declaring an Academic Program
Students need to declare the academic program they are working toward in the first 10 percent of calendar days of a the semester. Requests after this date go into effect for the next semester.
Deadline for declaring an Academic Program:
- Fall 2025 – September 3, 2025
- Winter 2026 – January 21, 2026
**Personal Interest, Code 850, is ineligible for Financial Aid.**
To find out if a new declaration of academic program will be academically appropriate, please speak with an advisor or use the what-if function of their academic progress tile in the online center.
Students may declare an academic program in their GRCC Online Student Center.

Catalog Year Policy
Per the revised Catalog Year Policy, students now have seven years to complete their program of study/degree. Please see the policy for details Catalog Policy (grcc.edu)
