Description: The purpose of this class is to introduce the basic concepts of sports medicine, specifically Athletic Training. This course provides students with basic knowledge of the prevention, recognition, and management of conditions commonly experienced in a physically active population.  Topics include the fundamentals of the human musculoskeletal system, sports related injuries, injury treatment, and other sports medicine related topics. This class is designed for beginning athletic training students and other students interested in the subject.
