Corequisites: None Description: This class covers the theory of metal-removing machinery most commonly used in industry. Areas of instruction include the proper use of power saws, drill presses, lathes, vertical mills, and surface grinders. Shop safety, basic metrology, and an introduction to Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machining are also included. It is recommended that students have math proficiency equivalent to MA 095 or Higher, and a basic understanding of blueprint reading/interpretation prior to enrolling in this course.
