Description: EN 247 is a course in writing original prose (fiction/creative nonfiction) and poetry. Students study the elements of each genre and practice the basic tools of contemporary creative expression. The course examines the role of the writer in expressing cultural, historical, and social values, promoting awareness and empathy in readers.
