College Level Prerequisites: None Description: Database Design and Development is the study of the rules and processes used to design and build relational databases. The course covers the creation of database designs using normalization of existing data as well as the development of data models. Database designs are then used in conjunction with the Structured Query Language (SQL) to build physical databases and populate them with data. It is recommended, but not required, that students take a course in computer programming or algebra before taking this course.
