College Level Prerequisites: None Description: This course introduces OSI and TCP/IP models, Ethernet concepts and operation, TCP and UDP protocols and ports, network design using IPv4 and IPv6 subnets, router and switch configuration, and other computer networks. Using labs designed to simulate networking situations from the real world, students will be able to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes.
This is the first in a two course Cisco Network Academy sequence designed to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).
