MN 233 - Welding Automation

Description: The introduction to welding automation will expose students to core concepts and theory behind automation practices as they are used in the industry. The class is a lecture and lab combination where the students will learn basic robotic programming for welding along with the use of other automation equipment. Special emphasis will be placed on welding joint design, setup, and the effects of welding parameters and their outcomes on welded members. The students will work in small groups to solve problems as a team and complete various lab assignments. Good basic math skills and college level reading and writing skills are recommended for this course.
