College Level Prerequisites: None Description: Mental health and health promotion concepts are introduced and used with the nursing process to promote mental health & bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment of the client. Students apply communication skills to develop therapeutic relationships in individual and group settings and promote health behavior change. Application of mental health theories to nursing is explored. Clinical experiences are provided in a laboratory setting.
