Description: This course is a continuation of MUS 213. It extends the student’s knowledge of species counterpoint, voice leading and chromatic harmony as well as introducing the study of the harmonic, rhythmic and melodic materials of the late 19th and 20th centuries. Students should enroll concurrently in MUS 216.
