This academic program lays the foundation to transfer to Western Michigan University to obtain an Elementary Education degree at Western Michigan University. The Elementary Education Curriculum is designed to prepare students to assume teaching responsibilities in self-contained classrooms in grades K-5 all subjects, 6-8 in content area majors or minors. This is accomplished by completing the Pre-Elementary Education, A.A. at GRCC in the first two years and transferring seamlessly to Western to complete the final two years of the program.
