Description: This course is a continuation of MUS 113. It covers typical harmonic progressions and voice-leading techniques found in the music of the common-practice period. The course focuses on diatonic harmonies, sequences, phrase structures, secondary functions, and modulations to closely-related keys. It also includes a study of binary and ternary forms.
