This capstone course prepares students for entry into the professional marketplace through portfolio building, exposure to industry standards and opportunities, and the creation of marketing and communication materials. Students are encouraged to pursue individualized paths that align with personal and professional goals. Students may pursue photography, videography, or a combination of the two in the commercial and/or fine art marketplaces. The class includes advanced demonstrations covering discipline-specific photo and video techniques designed to reinforce and expand critical skills. Additional topics include portfolio website and book creation, studio visits, artist talks, pricing strategies, and artificial intelligence for image makers.
