THE 246 - Auditioning


Description
This course familiarizes the theater performance student with the auditioning process. It covers monologue performance, cold and prepared readings, the interview process, among other aspects.  It is recommended for students needing to audition either for transfer or future employment.

The instructor does need to have had significant acting training and  experiences during which he or she has developed the physical and vocal requirements of a stage actor, as well as the ability to create believable, compelling characters through goal (or objective) setting and action.  Strong communication skills and the demonstrated ability to instruct higher level student performers is important.
