THE 131 - Ballet I Description Classical Ballet is the foundation for every dance form and every serious theater performer should have ballet as part of their education. It develops self-discipline, beautiful posture, a controlled body, strength, stamina, and poise. This course offers a first semester of ballet to those students who have had less than 3 years of Classical Ballet or no dance training. Students learn beginning level exercises and ballet terminology. Students start with floor barre then advance to the ballet barre which prepares them for center practice.
