SUR 109 - Basic Operative Procedures Description This course introduces the student to basic types of surgical procedures with a primary focus on the sequential steps involved in these procedures. Surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology will be addressed relative to basic surgical intervention. Students will become familiar with instrumentation, anticipatory skills, surgical asepsis, and surgical conscience.
