DAA 139 - Principles of Dental Assisting II Lecture


Description
This course is a continuation of Applied Principles of Dental Assisting I. Together with DAA 138, this course is designed to provide students with clinical experience as a chair side dental assistant in two dental offices. The weekly lecture in DAA 139 allows students the opportunity to share dental office practices and to connect laboratory and clinical experiences with each other.

2. Share dental office experiences and ideas with peers and instructor during scheduled course sessions. (CODA Standard 2-26)

3. Students will be able to construct a cover letter for potential future employment and investigate different career employment opportunities in the dental field.

4. Students will be able to assemble follow-up communication for potential future employment.

5. Students will be able to identify and effectively discuss factors that should be considered in salary negotiations.

6. Students will be able to discuss the different elements of an employment agreement.

7. Students will be able to describe the desired career objectives.

8. Prepare for RDA exam and complete application process.
