3. Demonstrate an understanding of the elements of crimes against persons and public order crimes and an ability to apply those elements to a factual scenario.
4. Demonstrate a working knowledge, at a level necessary for effective functioning as a Law Enforcement Officer, of civil law and the court system, including its terms, issues, and legal processes.
5. Describe why domestic violence is a law enforcement issue.
6. Recognize that domestic violence requires a coordinated community response and the importance of an evidenced-based prosecution.
