HVA 250 - Basic Boiler Operation Description In this course, students study the operation and maintenance of steam and hot water boilers. Topics include hands-on practice with boilers, burners and hot water component functions. An emphasis is placed on students identifying and understanding the operations of hydronic systems. - Perform various maintenance techniques on heat exchangers and hot water boiler water pumps.
- Understand water treatment for boilers and fuels and their efficiencies.
- Prepare a boiler for inspection as normally required by a boiler inspection agency.
