DR 140 - Introduction to Inventor Description In this course students learn to use the most current Autodesk Inventor parametric solid modeling software to generate: 3D models, assemblies, and 2D layout drawings. 6. Create 3D assemblies.
7. Create 2D layout drawings of the 3D model.
8. Identify the best solution to a problem or issue.
9. Complete work accurately, with attention to detail. Course Outline: I. Orientation to parametric modeling
II. Create 2D sketches
III. Dimension and constrain the 2D sketch
IV. Create a 3D model of the sketch using extrude, sweep and loft
V. Edit both the sketch and the model
VI. Add features to the 3D model like holes, chamfers, and fillets
VII. Create patterns in the model
VIII. Create a 2D layout of the model with dimensions
