This course is designed to familiarize the student with the following areas of oral pathology: inflammation and repair, immunity, neoplasia, and oral manifestation of systemic disease.

10. Recognize the oral manifestations of infectious diseases such as:

11. Describe the three primary causes of neoplasia within the oral cavity.

12. Be able to name and classify tumors.

13. Describe the three ways that tumors are treated and the effects of the treatment on the Oral cavity.

Faculty Credential Requirement Details:
Masters degree in Education or a related credential is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of related work experience (4,000 hours) is required to satisfy Perkin’s Vocational Act requirements. Additionally, the Instructor must possess a RDA/CDA, or RDH License or DDS/DMD License in Michigan. Documented expertise in the area of teaching responsibility and the area of content delivery method are required.
