CIS 227 - C++ Programming II Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 3 Prerequisites/Other Requirements: CIS 127 (C or Higher)

Math Prerequisites: MA 98 (C or Higher) OR MA 107 or Higher (C or Higher) OR ALEKS Score of 30 or Higher
Corequisites: None Description: This course reviews C++ programming basics such as variables, repetition statements, decision statements, functions, vectors, pointers, classes and constructors. Students develop Object Oriented Programming (OOP) as it applies to C++. This course covers C++ class destructors, copy class functions, destructors, friends functions, inheritance, and polymorphism. The course then transitions slightly to look at Visual C++, and implement dialog applications. Additional topics that are covered include templates and Standard Template Library.
