Corequisites: None Description: This course emphasizes proper usage and assembly of the equipment used in MIG (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). The course content includes the theory behind the process, safe operation, proper welding procedures and techniques used in welding steel. Student performances are held to the American Welding Society standards of performance in the welding of coupons and testing.
This course along with MN 134 , MN 136 , MN 203 , and MN 231 prepares students to take tests and complete laboratory work leading to the American Welding Society Sense Level 1 Credential.
