MRI 230 - MR Procedures and Pathophysiology I Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours: 3 Prerequisites/Other Requirements: C or Higher in the following courses: MRI 200 and MRI 260 and MRI 241

Corequisites: MRI 220 , MRI 201 , MRI 261 Description: Provide an overview of imaging techniques related to the CNS (brain and spine), and MSK (musculoskeletal). Specific clinical applications, coils that are available and their use, considerations in the scan sequences, specific choices in the protocols, and positioning criteria are practiced. Anatomical structures and the plane that best demonstrates anatomy will be discussed as well as signal characteristics of normal and abnormal structures.
