Corequisites: None Description: This course provides introductory exposure to both technology and cultural perspectives and the implications of those perspectives for those that are deaf. Topics covered include elements of the communication process, nonverbal communication, basic sign language terminology use and signs, both family and group dynamics, research, and oral presentations. This course is designed for students that wish to acquire knowledge of deaf culture and explore the field of sign language interpreting.
