Corequisites: None Description: This course examines how state and non-state actors interact politically on the world stage. Students will be introduced to various theoretical perspectives that explain international events. Causes of conflict and diplomatic efforts for peace will be discussed within the context of institutions like the United Nations and international law. Trade and currency regimes will be examined as to how they impact economic development, as well as causes of poverty and threats to the global environment.
