- Solve interior design problems with creativity and sensitivity.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of plan drawings.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of elevation drawings.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of perspective drawings.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to drawing materials such as pencil, marker, and ink.
- Identify the use of CAD in designing floor plans, elevations, and perspectives.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of codes and standards that ensure human safety.
- Develop solutions to aesthetic and design problems through understanding of basic design principles and color theory.
- Objectively critique, verbally and in writing, one’s own artwork as well as the work of others.
- Participate effectively in classroom critiques and discussions.
- Develop and demonstrate self-discipline to manage work load through the coordination of various steps of the design process and be able to move back and forth between designs in various stages of completion.
- Cultivate and demonstrate an appreciation for aesthetics and diversity.
