Corequisites: ANE 261 Description: This course will discuss routine procedures performed by the Anesthesia Technologist, including landmarking, patient positioning, and anesthesia implications of surgical procedures. In addition, the mechanisms and functions of the various body systems when administering anesthetic medication will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on common pathologies that an anesthesia technologist must be aware of when administering medications, positioning, or performing ventilation techniques.
