Corequisites: None Description: This course will provide an in-depth explanation of the role of biology in fermentation with particular emphasis on yeast. Students will learn about yeast types, yeast cell biology and biochemistry, and growth requirements for heath and fermentation. Students will practice basic yeast management techniques and learn to calculate yeast cell density and pitch volumes.
