Description: This course focuses on building patient behavior modification techniques and increased proficiency in applying the dental hygiene process of care for patients. Students are introduced to advanced root instrumentation skills for nonsurgical periodontal therapy, providing a foundation for complicated periodontal cases. Continued application of self-assessment, personal goal setting, and problem solving strategies builds student proficiency in providing individualized comprehensive patient care.
