GVSU & GRCC Pre-CyberSecurity Agreement

Pre-Cybersecurity, A.A. (Grand Valley State University)

Academic Plan Code: 658

The Pre-Cybersecurity Associate of Arts degree is designed for students planning to transfer to Grand Valley State University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. This program provides a strong foundation in cybersecurity, including programming, network communication, operating systems, and information security principles, as well as theoretical concepts that support advanced security practices.

As part of a formal articulation agreement between Grand Rapids Community College and Grand Valley State University, this program aligns with the first two years of the B.S. in Cybersecurity curriculum. Students who follow the recommended course sequence can transfer with junior standing and continue directly into upper-level cybersecurity coursework.

Students are encouraged to work closely with an academic advisor to ensure that course selections meet both GRCC graduation requirements and GVSU transfer requirements.
