GRCC-Ferris Articulation Agreement-Public Health

Pre-Public Health, A.A. (Ferris State University)

This program is designed to offer a clear pathway for students wanting to transfer into the bachelor’s degree program in Public Health at Ferris State University. The stated purpose of the Ferris program is to prepare students to “pursue entry level careers in public health within governmental, private or non-profit sectors in areas such as public health education, health promotion, environmental health, community health, epidemiology, nutrition, health informatics, biostatistics, global health, maternal and child health, health economics, health services research, health policy and health planning and assessment” (FSU Public Health Program).

By declaring this Articulated Pre-Major, students are on track to graduate with an Associate of Arts degree from GRCC and transfer to Ferris State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.

GRCC advisors and faculty are available to help students navigate transfer resources and create an individualized transfer plan, including selection of elective courses, which meets all GRCC and Ferris State University requirements.

Graduates of this program will earn an Associate of Arts degree from GRCC and may be eligible to earn the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) credential.
