This program is designed to offer a clear pathway for students wanting to transfer into the bachelor’s degree program in Industrial & Entrepreneurial Engineering at Western Michigan University. Upon graduating from the program at WMU, among the jobs students can consider are related to product innovation, design, and financial aspects of startup companies, as well as similar work for existing companies in various traditional industries such as hotels, banks, food, transportation, and hospitals. By declaring this Articulated Pre-Major, students are on track to graduate with an Associate of Arts degree from GRCC and transfer to WMU to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Entrepreneurial Engineering.

General Education Courses
Select a minimum of 30 credit hours of course work from the General Education course list. Course work must be selected as directed in the areas below.
English Composition and Communications
Humanities
Select two (2) Humanities General Education Electives from two (2) different subject areas. Only one (1) Foreign Language course can be used for the Humanities requirement.
Social Sciences
Select one (1) Social Sciences General Education Elective from a subject area different than EC. Natural Sciences and Mathematics

In addition to the above coursework, you may need to take other GRCC courses to complete your degree. For maximum transferability, all courses should be selected based on your degree requirements at Western Michigan University. The number of elective credit hours that you will need to complete this Articulated Pre-Major will depend on the number of credit hours that remain in order for you to reach the 60 credits needed to graduate. It is recommended that students meet with an advisor to review the requirements and advising notes for this articulated program, and have any questions about transfer answered prior to completing this degree program at GRCC. Western Michigan University will accept courses taken at GRCC as outlined in the program agreement. This degree is designed with the intent that students can take classes and be advised at the Western Michigan University Grand Rapids - Downtown location via the AMP lab. Please select courses from the Priority I list. Select courses based on the number of credits you are taking in the semester, for example, if you are a part time student you do not have to take all of the courses listed. If you are unable to schedule Priority I courses, move to and select from the list of Priority II, Priority III, and Priority IV courses.
