Academic Program Code: 150
As our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, more and more information is being stored digitally. As a result, the threat of identity and information theft is growing. Companies and organizations need talented individuals who can keep their company safe from digital theft and other malicious invasions into intellectual property. This degree provides the student with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, which can be tailored toward meeting a variety of security-related bachelor’s degrees.
The CyberSecurity degree prepares individuals to assess the security needs of computer and network systems; recommend safeguard solutions, and manage the implementation and maintenance of security devices, systems, and procedures. Includes instruction in computer architecture, programming, and systems analysis; networking; telecommunications; cryptography; security system design; applicable law and regulations; risk assessment and policy analysis; contingency planning; user access issues; and troubleshooting.
This program will prepare the student for the CompTIA Security+, Linux+, Pentest+, and the Cisco CCNA CyberOps certifications.
