Electrical Controls/Mechatronics Certificate

The Electrical Controls/Mechatronics Certificate program is designed to give a student the basic skills required of an industrial controls service technician. All credits earned for this certificate apply to the AAAS Electrical Controls Engineering Technology degree.

EL 163 - Electrical Troubleshooting Credit Hours: 2
EL 164 - Programmable Logic Controllers Credit Hours: 3
EL 166 - Advanced PLC Systems Credit Hours: 3
Select one (1) of the following courses.
MN 113 - Mechanical Power Transmission Credit Hours: 2
MN 199 - Theory of Machine Operations Credit Hours: 3
MN 217 - Hydraulics Credit Hours: 4
MN 218 - Pneumatics Credit Hours: 3
You must take one (1) of the following options for Basic Electricity and Electronics. Select [EL 106 and EL 107], or EL 144.
EL 106 - Technical Electricity Credit Hours: 4
AND
EL 107 - Technical Electronics Credit Hours: 4
OR
EL 144 - Basic Electricity and Electronics Credit Hours: 4
Select one (1) of the following courses (or see Program Notes for alternative Mathematics courses).
EL 132 - Electronics Mathematics Credit Hours: 4

MA 107 - Intermediate Algebra Credit Hours: 4
